12/29/2020 – The Fano-Pesaro section of the A14 motorway was closed to traffic due to an accident with a burning vehicle.
The tragic result of a traffic accident that occurred this afternoon on the section of the A14 towards Bologna is one dead. From a first reconstruction of the events, it appears that the driver has lost control of the heavy vehicle that overturned and exploded after skidding.
The vehicle was carrying trash that caught fire. Firefighters on site to put out the flames.
The vehicle stopped just above the Santa Veneranda bridge from which flaming shipwrecks fell. For this reason, the carabinieri blocked local traffic.
Unfortunately, the truck driver lost his life in the accident.
