Second day of orange zone throughout Italy, as established by the Christmas decree approved by the government. In the day of today December 29 I am still open shops – but bars and restaurants are closed (except for take away and home delivery). It is not possible to leave the Region (except for reasons of health, necessity or work, to regroup the couples who live together and return to their own residence or domicile); You can circulate within the Municipality (until 10 pm), you can do sports (jogging, bicycle) but only individual. Here is everything that is allowed, what are the prohibitions and what are the exceptions.

What can I do in the orange zone?

On December 28, 29 and 30, 2020 and January 4, 2021, all of Italy will become the orange zone. What can be done?
-if pu go to stores, which are open until 9:00 p.m.;
you can’t go to bars and restaurants, which will be closed (but you can take take out until 10pm and order at home)
– you can move freely within the Municipality between 5 and 22
– if you can leave your municipality, stay within your own region – as well as for work, health or need and urgency reasons – only for two other reasons:
a) those that allow you to go to the a maximum of two people (not counting children under 14 and people with disabilities and non-self-sufficient people) once a day to visit a family member or friend
b) It is allowed to travel, even in more than two adults, from the “small municipalities” if the population does not exceed 5,000 inhabitants, covering a distance of no more than 30 kilometers from the relative municipalities: but it is prohibited to travel to the provincial capital.

Can I go with my parents or friends?

Yes, but according to the rules set out above: you can’t go there if your parents’ house is outside the region; the number of people on the move cannot be more than two, unless they bring with them children under the age of 14 or disabled or non-self-sufficient people who live together; you can move to only one house per day and respecting curfew hours. Returning to the home where you have residence or domicile is always allowed.

Can I visit family and friends outside the region?

No, prohibited. But there is an exception. On the days marked with orange during the Christmas holidays (that is, December 28, 29, 30 and January 4) it will be possible for those who reside in municipalities with less than five thousand inhabitants to move between the 5th and 22nd also in another region, always within 30 kilometers of your residence and without traveling to the provincial capitals.

In the orange zone, can I go with my boyfriend or girlfriend?

S: The above rules also apply to boyfriends or girlfriends.

Can I go with my boyfriend or girlfriend if he is outside the region?

The current regulations, in this case, continue to be those dictated by the Dpcm of December 3, 2020. On the government’s website they were summarized as follows: the return to the Municipality in which you have residence, domicile or Oh man, what if your fury with; and it was contained in the newspaper. It will allow us, for example, regrouping of couples who are far away for work reasons but who live together frequently in the same home.

Can I go home on the red days?

Yes, you are always allowed to return to your own home, the one where you have residence or domicile.

Can I go to a store outside my municipality?

S: As the government already explained, the purchase is one of the reasons that justify moving outside the municipality where you live if the municipality adjacent to yours has stores that are necessary for your needs, also in terms of convenience for the wallet. The movement must always be self-certified (here the self-certification form).

Can I volunteer?

Yes, they are allowed, without a time limit., the movements that are reunited with the assistance activities that are carried out, within the framework of a voluntary association, as well as those in agreement with the local authorities, for needy or disadvantaged people.

When is self-certification necessary?

During the orange days (December 28, 29 and 30, 2020 and January 4, 2021), self-certification (which you can find here) is used to leave your Municipality: and this, as mentioned above, is possible by necessity proven work, health reasons and urgency. It will also be used to move from municipalities with a population of no more than 5,000 inhabitants and to move, within the region itself, to a second residence or to visit friends and family (with the rules set out above). The form is also used to move around during curfew.
During the red days, the form is also used to move during the day within your municipality, as well as to enter and leave your city for proven work needs, for health reasons and for other reasons allowed by current regulations (which includes the need to care for a non-self-sufficient person who returns to his residence). The form will also be used to go to a second residence in the region or to visit friends and family with the rules established above. Those who do not have a printer can write the self-certification by hand, tracing the template found here. If you do not have the form with you if you are stopped by the police, they will fill one out: they can then carry out checks to verify the accuracy of the statement.

The Christmas decree and the rules

What is the time of the curfew?

During the entire period covered by the Christmas decree, so until January 6, 2021, it is not possible to travel between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The only exception represented by the day of New Years Eve, when the curfew will be between 10 p.m. From December 31 and 7 a.m. M. From January 1.

My family and I moved into our second home in another region on December 20th. I will have to go back to work in my home region for a few days. Will I be able to return to them before January 6?
No. Travel to second homes in a region other than your own is prohibited from December 21 to January 6. Therefore, in this specific case, the transfer of the second home to the workplace in the period between December 21 and January 6 cannot be used as justification for a new return to the second home, in another region , in the same period. So you can go back to work but then you can’t go back to the second house.
