A vial containing the Comirnaty vaccine, the product developed by Pfizer, eBionTech to prevent coronavirus disease, and a syringe. All that is needed is to restore hope to Italians, who have been battling for months against a virus that has brought the entire country to its knees and caused thousands of victims. The vial – as shown in the images of the clip filmed a few hours ago – is first shaken vigorously and then its contents are placed inside a syringe to inject it into the subject to be vaccinated.
In total, they arrived in Italy 9,750 doses of the Pfizer vaccine currently intended only for healthcare and social healthcare personnel. The vaccinations began today, December 27, at 7.20 at the Spallanzani hospital in Rome. The first to undergo the vaccine were the teacher Maria Rosaria Capobianchi, the nurse Claudia Alivernini and the health worker Omar Altobelli. The vaccine is free for everyone and not mandatory.
