On January 7th, upper secondary school students will return to school for a share equal to 50%. This is what the ordinance of the Ministry of Health of December 24 provides.

The objective -explains the Ministry of Education in the note of December 22- is to ensure the achievement of 75%, gradually, where it is not immediately possible, as foreseen in the Dpcm of December 3. The 50% limit until January 15, specifies the ministry in a note today, cannot be waived.
In recent weeks, the tables with the prefects have been activated for the organization of the return to class. Some Regions, such as Lazio, have already made known the measures implemented to allow the safe return of students and school personnel, others have not defined the plan.
In Campania, according to the latest hypotheses, the return to the banks will be gradual with dates staggered by order and degree. The first to return could be the childhood students and the first two primary classes, then the other primary classes on January 11, the lower secondary schools from January 18 and finally, from January 25, secondary schools above 50%. Governor Vincenzo De Luca in fact said that he was against the reopening on January 7 for everyone without first having a picture of the situation of infections.
Instead, everything is ready in Emilia Romagna, but with probable adaptations to the new provisions, given that the plan of the Emilia Region a few days ago was based on 75% participation. There will be no double shifts, morning and afternoon, but the entry times will be reorganized staggered.
The guidelines are also ready in Piedmont, but also in this case the proportion of 75% of the students is taken into account. From the note published by the USSR on December 22, there are three pillars on which we work:
- the specific capacity of the transport system to support the improvement of lines and vehicles;
- improving school autonomy;
- flexibility to take into account the specific needs of local contexts
Entries will be staggered in two shifts (8-10).
Milan changes the city’s timetable to allow children to return to school safely. The entries will be staggered: a first shift at 8 and then at 9.30.
Lazio students will return to 50% until January 16. The USR shared the plan, which provides for staggering in two shifts: the first in 8 (40% of students), the second in 10 (60%).
In Rome, special attention will be paid to anti-crowd controls: children will enter the school in two shifts with the police and civil protection at the entrance and exit. You will also go to school on Saturdays (all at 8 in the morning) if necessary, only once you have exceeded the quota of 75% of the students attending. The return to classes as of January 7 is detailed in the operational document signed on December 24 by the prefect of Rome Matteo Piantedosi and the attached technical reports.
