SITUATION. A sprawling high-pressure promontory in southwestern Europe reports more stable conditions for Santo Stefano and Sunday, with clear skies. However, it will be a short term break as it is from the Atlantic. a new and intense disturbance will affect Italy starting from the northwest, with worsening of Monday in Veneto. Meanwhile, the arctic flow that has reached the region since Christmas has significantly lowered temperatures, awaiting the disturbance that will thus flow over a cushion of cold air in the lower layers that will favor snowfall sometimes even on the plains. This is what will happen:
SUNDAY OF TIME. The high pressure will keep the sky clear for most of the day, although high, stratified clouds will begin to increase during the afternoon, making up the later part of the disturbance approaching from the west.
WEATHER MONDAY. The disturbance will arrive in our region from the first hours of the day, with the first phenomena already at night, with snowy character to the plain and the coast, still weak or initially absent, however, in the southern areas towards the Po. In the morning widespread rainfall with snow even on the plains and in Venice, but tending to become rain on the southern plains and in the Lagoon, while in the afternoon some jibs will hold only between Veronese and Vicentino. At night, exhaustion of the phenomena with bright spells. Very low accumulations are expected in Verona and Treviso with only a few flakes, 15/20 cm in Vicenza, 20/25 cm in Belluno, Besides half a meter or more in the Belluno Alps.
