Covid, two other victims are registered in Prato. There are 17 new infections [notiziediprato.it]

After two days of truce, coinciding with Christmas and Santo Stefano, the Region’s bulletin once again reports victims of Covid in Prato: there have been two, in the last 24 hours, an 84-year-old man who died in Santo Stefano and one of 90 died in San Jacopo in Pistoia. This is a quarter of the deaths recorded in Tuscany, which were 8 in total: 3 men and 5 women with an average age of almost 80 years. Therefore, the number of people from Prato who died from Covid since the beginning of the pandemic increased to 244.

On the front of new infections, however, the number remains low with 17 confirmed positives in the province of Prato and 227 throughout the region. The swabs tested in Tuscany were 3502, of which 6.5% were positive. On the other hand, 1,549 subjects evaluated today (excluding control swabs), of which 14.7% were positive. To these are added 226 rapid antigenic swabs. The positive points currently in Tuscany are therefore 10,800, 0.7% compared to yesterday. There are 1,012 hospitalized (21 more than yesterday), of which 165 in intensive care (1 less). In Santo Stefano, on the other hand, there are 83 Covid patients hospitalized in the medical area and 6 in intensive care.
