Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, 165,044 positivity cases have been registered in Emilia-Romagna, 1,756 more than yesterday, out of a total of 5,775 swabs made in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives over the number of swabs made since yesterday is 30.4%. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 932 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, 358 of the new positives were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 519 were identified within known foci. The average age of new positives today is 45.3 years. Of the 932 asymptomatic, 454 were identified through contact tracing, 65 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 27 through serological tests, and 4 through pre-admission tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 382 cases. These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of institutional requests – related to the evolution of the epidemic in the region.
PIACENZA – The cases verified in Piacenza amounted to 15,056 (+143 compared to yesterday, of which 46 symptomatic). There are also 5 deaths (three women of 99, 83 and 79 years; two men of 93 and 74 years). The number of people admitted to intensive care increased to 16: +2 compared to December 25.
CONTAGION – The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 412 new cases; followed by Modena (284), Ravenna (198), Ferrara (152), Cesena (148), Piacenza (143), Rimini (142), Reggio Emilia (123), Imola (57), Parma (51), finally Forlì (46).
INFECTED IN DETAIL – These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made: 15,056 in Piacenza (+143 compared to yesterday, of which 46 symptomatic), 12,713 in Parma (+51, of which 36 symptomatic), 22,646 in Reggio Emilia (+ 123, of which 51 symptomatic), 29,907 Modena (+284, of which 170 symptomatic), 32,913 in Bologna (+412, of which 207 symptomatic), 5,267 cases in Imola (+57, of which 14 symptomatic), 8,744 in Ferrara (+152, of which 36 symptomatic), 12,086 in Ravenna (+198, of which 45 symptomatic), 5,722 in Forlì (+46, of which 39 symptomatic), 5,793 in Cesena (+148, of which 116 symptomatic) and 14,197 in Rimini (+142, of which 64 symptomatic).
HISPITES AND SEROLOGICALS – In the last 24 hours, 5,775 swabs were performed, for a total of 2,502,232, in addition to 119 serological tests and 735 rapid swabs performed since yesterday.
HEALED – As for the total of people cured, they are 3,423 more than yesterday and reach 100,333.
ACTIVE CASES – Active cases, that is, actual patients, to date are 57,287 (1,691 less than yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, total 54,443 (-1,618), 95% of all active cases.
DEATH – Unfortunately, there are 24 new deaths: 6 in the Modena area (four men aged 87, 85, 72 and 70; two women aged 97 and 94), 5 in Piacenza (three women aged 99, 83 and 79; two men aged 93 and 74), 4 in Forlì-Cesena (four women in the Forlì area of 97, 91, 85 and 74 years old), 3 in the province of Ravenna (two women of 62 and 49 years old and one man of 89 years), 2 in the province of Reggio Emilia (two women of 92 and 76 years), 1 in the province of Parma (a woman of 73 years), 1 in the province of Bologna (a man of 88 years) none in the province of Ferrara and Rimini, 2 of outside of Emilia-Romagna. In total, 7,424 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
INTENSIVE CARE – There are 214 patients admitted to intensive care (+8 compared to yesterday), 2,630 those from the rest of Covid departments (-81). In the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 16 in Piacenza (+2), 11 in Parma (unchanged compared to yesterday), 17 in Reggio Emilia (+1 compared to yesterday), 45 in Modena (unchanged), 54 in Bologna (+2), 6 in Imola (+1), 23 in Ferrara (+ 2 compared to yesterday), 19 in Ravenna (no change), 3 in Forlì (no change), 2 in Cesena (+1) and 18 in Rimini (-1).
