Just before 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, the first 85 doses of Pfizer’s Covid vaccine, contained in 17 vials, arrived at the Perugia hospital pharmaceutical warehouse. This is how the era, hopefully brief and intense, of vaccines against the coronavirus opens in Umbria. From there, the 85 doses will be taken to Spoleto hospital where, again on Sunday morning, Umbria’s ‘vaccine day’ will take place with the first 85 people receiving the first of two doses of Pfizer product. The material arrived at the Perugia hospital at 7.53 am, left the ‘Spallanzani’ in Rome, was subjected to a compliance check and then prepared for delivery to Spoleto, under the coordination of the director of the Perugia hospital pharmacy, Alessandro D Arpino.
