There have been 337 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily of the 4,038 swabs made: 27 new deaths are reported and 252 recovered. The number of intensive care places occupied by patients with covid has been reduced by 4, that is, 170, around 21% of those available. There are 19 new hospitalizations under the ordinary regime, bringing the total number of people hospitalized to 1,014.
The subdivision of the new cases in the Sicilian provinces is as follows: Catania 163, Palermo 38, Messina 104, Ragusa 0, Trapani 5, Syracuse 23, Agrigento 0, Caltanissetta 4, Enna 0. The positives are currently 33,290 while in isolation 32,106 people remain at home. Sicily, according to the monitoring report of the higher institute of health updated to December 22, receives a general classification of low risk (ISS – monitoring). The regional RT (updated to December 25) stands at 0.74 while the Italian is 0.90.
