Covid in Campania, today only 539 positives and eight deaths, but the contagion curve continues to grow

The coronavirus infection curve in Campania continues to grow: today the virus is registered 539 positives out of 6,448 swabs performed470 less than yesterday but with 9,905 less processed swabs. In percentage, it means that 8.36% of the tests are positive, two points more than yesterday when the contagion rate was 6.17%. Of all these newly infected, 489 are asymptomatic and only 50 have symptoms. After the November record with 99,579 positive swabs, therefore, the month of December registered a significant slowdown, as a result of the decrees and ordinances of recent days.

More generally, the total of positives amounts to 185,821 on 1,989,495 swabs processed, while the number of victims rises to 2,678 with the eight deaths registered yesterday, although the crisis unit is quick to specify that “these have died previously.” On the other hand, the number of hospital admissions improved: 1,431 hospitalized with symptoms, 18 less than yesterday and 98 patients in intensive care, four less than yesterday. And the number of cured patients also grows, from 102,065 to 102,570 with 515 negatives in 24 hours.
