CASTELNOVO SOTTO (Reggio Emilia) – A 23-year-old – Niki De Marco, by Castelnovo Sotto – died, another was injured. This is the tragic outcome of an accident that occurred in the afternoon, at 4:20 p.m., during the strong hail storm that hit a large part of the province. The car driven by the victim swerved and landed first against a concrete post and then in a ditch. It happened on Via Prato Bovino, near 109th Street. There were 118 health workers and firefighters at the scene, as well as the Gattatico police officers due to legal inquiries. The man was transferred to Santa Maria Nuova, where he died of serious injuries. The 31-year-old, also from Castelnovo, who was traveling with him, was also injured, albeit slightly.
