A family tragedy occurred on Christmas Day: after his wife’s suicide, a father hanged his 1 and 3-year-old children.
Aiko siankunko, 29-year-old man Manila (Philippines), was detained in the last hours by the police after carrying out the double infanticide of his children. According to local news reports, the man had been through a difficult period for some time. In this 2020 already afflicted by the pandemic of COVID-19, Aiko had lost her job and entered a depressive spiral from which she could not get out.

Unable to continue in that situation, having to take care of her young children and her husband – totally absent and no longer able to help due to the state of depression in which she had fallen for some time – the woman lives on Christmas Eve.

After the woman’s tragic decision, Aiko saw no more exits and decided to make another extreme gesture: today the man hung up his two children and later tried to take his own life. The rope used for suicide, however, broke and he was unable to do so. At that time he reported to the police and was arrested. A truly tragic story, at the end of a year in which this family lived a drama within a drama from which they could not get out.
