Lin Sicily it is located under what has been renamed the “epidemic watershed”, which is the critical threshold of 1. This is what emerges by looking at the report from the Higher Institute of Health and the Ministry of Health. Ten Italian regions are worse off than Sicily.
It is Veneto that, according to the latest Covid-19 monitoring of the control room, currently has the highest RT in Italy. In this region, the 14-day average index stands at 1.13. But there are two regions that are above 1: together with Veneto, in fact, there is also Molise, with a Rt of 1.07. The two regions are above 1 with the mean Rt at 14 days and with the Rt point.
All other regions are below this ‘epidemic basin’, but there are other regions very close to the critical threshold of 1: they are Lazio with Rt 0.98, Lombardy with 0.96 and Puglia with 0.97. The other Rt are: March 0.93; Trento 0.9; Liguria 0.88; Calabria 0.84; Sardinia 0.82; Friuli Venezia Giulia and Sicilia at 0.8; Umbria 0.78; Basilicata 0.77; Bolzano 0.76; Abruzzo 0.73; Tuscany 0.71; Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta at 0.68; Campania 0.66.
