There are 235 new cases of coronavirus in the Rimini area, according to data published in the Emilia Romagna region Christmas bulletin. There are 115 male and 120 female patients; 134 symptomatic and 101 asymptomatic. And in detail 94 emerged for swabs performed by symptoms; 114 from contact tracing activities (most of them family members and already in isolation at the time of diagnosis); 7 for tests related to hospitalization; 13 for voluntary testing; 6 for category tests; for 1 the practice was not completed.
About 45 cures can be estimated. There are 15 deaths, but not all of them date back to the last 24 hours: these are 10 patients resident in Rimini: 5 men aged 82, 84, 92, 92, 61 years old and 5 women aged 81, 94, 96, 93, 99 years, of 2 women residing in Bellaria – Igea Marina (95 and 101 years old), and of a resident patient in Misano Adriatico (92 years old), of a resident patient in San Clemente (90 years old) and of a female patient resident in Saludecio (84 years old).
The situation in Emilia-Romagna
In Emilia-Romagna there were 2,127 more cases than on Thursday, out of a total of 10,861 smears performed in the last 24 hours (in addition to these 262 serological tests and 2,500 rapid smears). The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons manufactured since Thursday is 19.6%. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 976 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, 469 of the new positives were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 700 were identified within known foci.
The average age of new positives on Friday is 47.2 years. Of the 976 asymptomatic, 502 were identified through contact tracing, 107 through tests by risk categories introduced by the Region, 21 through serological tests, 10 through pre-hospital tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 336 cases. As for the total of people cured, they are 381 more than on Thursday and reach 96,910. Active cases, that is, actual patients, on Friday are 58,980 (+1,681 compared to Thursday). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, are a total of 56,063 (+1,683), 95% of all active cases. In total, there have been 7,400 deaths in the region since the start of the epidemic. There are 206 patients admitted to intensive care (+5 compared to Thursday), 2,711 those from the rest of Covid departments (-7).
