A massive explosion rocked downtown Nashville, damaging several buildings and evacuating residents from the area where the blast occurred. According to the city police department, it was a caravan that exploded. Three people have been taken to the hospital but are not in serious condition. There are no victims yet.

The blast occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Christmas morning in the tourist area between Second Avenue and Commerce Street in downtown. For the authorities, this is an “intentional act”. Nashville police had been alerted to a suspicious vehicle and dispatched a team to investigate before the vehicle exploded. This was reported by a spokesperson for law enforcement in the city of Tennessee.
