Sardinia, virus infections increase at Christmas: today 331 new cases and another nine deaths on the island. A total of 29,467 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 331 new cases were detected.
There are also 9 dead (698 in total), six men and three women between 42 and 87 years old. The victims: all residents of the province of Southern Sardinia with the exception of two respectively from the province of Sassari and the Metropolitan City of Cagliari.
A total of 462,857 swabs were performed with an increase of 4,115 tests. On the other hand, 498 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (twenty-one less than yesterday), while the number of patients in intensive care is 41 (-3). There are 15,476 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 12,435 (+244) cured patients, plus another 319 clinically cured.
Of the 29,467 positive cases verified in total, 6,558 (+88) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,747 (+75) in southern Sardinia, 2,287 in Oristano, 5,910 (+103) in Nuoro, 9,965 (+65) ) in Sassari.
