Fatal accident last night in Piandimeleto, on the road that connects the center of the upper Foglia valley with Lunano. For reasons that are still being investigated, a car collided with a minibus and then collided with another car with a woman in it. The worst was Gilberto Riminucci, 63, a resident, originally from Sant’Angelo en Vado, but a resident of Lunano who was driving the car that caused the accident. The man lost his life. Riminucci had just had lunch yesterday and had celebrated his newly accumulated retirement. In fact, he was an employee of Monaldi due, a company in which he had worked and in which he would continue to collaborate in his spare time, out of gratitude and passion for his work. That is precisely why Riminucci had lunch with other people, a table with friends at Tony and Roy pizzeria in Piandimeleto. Moments of long-awaited escape with the promise of seeing each other again in the afternoon, to wish Christmas.
The tragedy occurred at night. According to an initial reconstruction of the events, Riminucci’s car left Piandimeleto for Lunano via the Provinciale Fogliense. The tragic impact occurred just 500 meters from the town of Piandimeleto, in the town of La Casella. Past the Piandimeleto cemetery, there is a small slope that leads to a straight path where Riminucci’s car began to skid in fear, perhaps due to illness or in any case for reasons that are being examined by the investigators and the magistrate. Riminucci’s car invaded the opposite lane and ended up against a minibus heading towards Piandimeleto. Riminucci traveled alone. In the van, on the other hand, was Luca Capucci, 53, with his little daughter, who had returned from Genoa, where he works, with the family to visit his father who had recently stayed, who lives in Piandimeleto. Capucci and his daughter were miraculously unharmed. Riminucci’s car, on the other hand, continued its race crashing into a car driven by a lady from Lunano, Maria Tiberi. The woman, in her 70s, suffered serious injuries to her legs and was hospitalized at Urbino hospital in serious condition. For Riminucci, however, there was nothing to do. Firefighters intervened at the scene and closed the road to traffic. 118 also took part, while the reconnaissance was carried out by the Piandimeleto carabinieri.
