US, Trump grants clemency to 26 other friends and allies

Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Charles Kushner. They are among the 26 who benefit from the pardon granted by Donald Trump. In the new wave of “pardons” from the president, three other people were convicted.

Manafort, former head of the US president’s election campaign, involved in one of the Russiagate lines of investigation, was convicted of tax and bank fraud. rock, a longtime friend and former adviser to the tycoon, was found guilty of lying to Congress as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections and was sentenced in February to three years and four months in prison. Trump had already pardoned 15 other allies on Tuesday, including George Papadopoulos, a former campaign adviser to the mogul who got into trouble over the Russiagate probe. The same happened in November with former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
