The new self-certification form to move around the Christmas holidays

The Ministry of the Interior has published the necessary self-certification form to justify the trip during the Christmas holidays, based on the provisions of the Decree Law of December 18, but also in the previous Decree and decrees of the Prime Minister. It will always be necessary to fill in the form when you move in derogation of the prohibitions, for work, health or necessity, such as to leave home to make the purchase in the municipality itself on days when Italy is in the “red”. Self-certification is also necessary to justify the “visitation exemption”, therefore, to go to another house, respecting the established limits.

The “visitation exemption” states that you can travel once a day, from 5 to 22, to visit only one house (of anyone, friends or family) that must be in your region. This exemption applies to both red and orange days. On this journey there may be a maximum of two, possibly accompanied by minors under 14, disabled or not self-sufficient without restriction of number.

In addition to justifying the trip for reasons of necessity, the self-certification form will remain valid for those traveling for work or for “proven needs” during the curfew valid for the entire period of the Christmas holidays from 22:00 to 6:00 and extended until 7.00 a.m. for New Years day.
