Ventimiglia gangster-style murder, two arrests – Ultima Ora

(ANSA) – VENTIMIGLIA, DECEMBER 24 – Two people were arrested by the Carabinieri for the murder of Joseph Fedele, 67, found dead on October 21 in a ditch in the Calvo district of Ventimiglia. They are Domenico Pellegrino, 27, and Girolamo Condoluci, 44, domiciled in the Bordighera area. The first is considered the author of the murder, the second is accused of complicity.

Domenico is the son of Giovanni Pellegrino, definitively convicted of mafia association along with his brothers Roberto and Maurizio. The measures were issued by the Genoa investigating judge at the request of the Genoa district anti-mafia prosecutor. The crime, according to the investigators, occurred with mafia methods. The victim was reportedly forced to kneel and killed with at least one shot to the back of the neck and then thrown into a pit. The murder would have accumulated in drug-related businesses. Pellegrino was transferred to Genoa prison, Condoluci is under house arrest. In order to identify the alleged perpetrators of the crime, the recovery of the victim’s car in Menton was decisive, in which clues were found that allowed the police to identify who had been lying in the vehicle. The subsequent investigations allowed to acquire elements of responsibility towards the suspects. Fedele’s body was found at least three weeks after he disappeared. Money was found on the body, an element that immediately ruled out the hypothesis of murder for theft. (HANDLE).
