Covid, “another variant in England: even more contagious”

An “even more contagious” variant of the coronavirus has been identified in the UK after being discovered in South Africa. Health Minister Matt Hancok has reportedly announced in British media that two UK citizens have tested positive upon their return from South Africa. The tests revealed the presence of a new “and equally worrisome coronavirus mutation” originating from “South Africa.” Therefore, the government orders the immediate isolation of those who have returned from South Africa in the last 2 weeks. “This new variant – Hancock said while reading in The Independent – is extremely worrying because it is even more transmissible and seems to have changed more compared to the new variant that was discovered in the UK.”
