Bars, restaurants and shops closed, hotels open, but only overnight guests can use their services; freedom of movement throughout South Tyrol; curfew from 10 pm to 5 am; It is allowed to celebrate with grandparents, parents, children and couples, but with a strong recommendation to keep the number of people low. This is what the ordinance signed that night by the governor of South Tyrol, Arno Kompatscher, offers.
“We have decided – he says – to entrust ourselves to the personal responsibility of the population of South Tyrol, leaving a little more freedom of movement, but with a call not to abuse it for home visits.”
“We show solidarity and community, especially at Christmas, we limit contacts, wear masks, keep our distance and pay attention to hand hygiene,” said President Kompatscher.
With the contingent and urgent ordinance n. 76, in effect from Christmas Eve to Epiphany, the Province adopts its own measures regarding state regulations on containing coronavirus infection. The president of the province, Arno Kompatscher, signed the ordinance: it establishes that bars and restaurants remain closed. Likewise, commercial establishments are closed (with exceptions defined by the Ateco code, for example supermarkets, grocery stores, as well as retail stores that sell products for daily use, pharmacies, parapharmacies, kiosks, tobacconists) and personal services, except for laundries, services funeral parlors, hairdressers and barbers.
Take away food service (until 8pm) and home delivery service (until 10pm) are available.
Freedom of movement continues throughout the province during the day. From 22:00 to 5:00 it is forbidden to leave the house, except for work, health and urgent needs with a self-declaration that can also be presented on site in case of control. The accommodation facilities will remain open, but only overnight guests will be able to use their services.
It is allowed to celebrate in the circle of closest relatives (grandparents, parents, children, couples). However, it is expressly recommended to keep the number of people in one place low. The number of people outside the family who can visit you is set at two in the ordinance, in analogy with state regulations.
Parties and events are not allowed outdoors, in private residences or in accommodation facilities. In the accommodation facilities, the common areas must be closed at 23.00. High and vocational schools will have 75 percent attendance as of January 7.
The ordinance also establishes that, as of January 7, school and educational activities in secondary schools and vocational schools are carried out in the presence of a maximum of 75 percent of the students.
