There are 10,872 new coronavirus infections in Italy announced today according to data contained in the newsletter of the Ministry of Health of December 21. Since yesterday, another 415 deaths have been registered, bringing the total to 69,214 since the start of the Covid 19 emergency. In the last 24 hours, 87,889 swabs were made. There are 2,731 patients admitted to intensive care, with a decrease of 12 units. 25-145 people (-13) are hospitalized in the pavilions. There are 19,632 more cured, an increase that brings the total number of people who have overcome the virus since the beginning of the emergency to 1,281,258. The current positives compared to the previous day are 9,178 less. In total, the people positive for the coronavirus in Italy are 613,582.
The data region by region:
LOMBARDY – There are 950 new coronavirus infections in Lombardy announced today according to the data contained in the newsletter of the Ministry of Health of December 21. Since yesterday, another 41 deaths have been registered, bringing the total to 24,420 since the start of the Covid 19 emergency.
PIEDMONT – According to the bulletin released today, there are 611 new coronavirus infections in Piedmont. Since yesterday there have been another 43 deaths.
VENETO – There are 2,583 new coronavirus infections in Veneto, according to today’s bulletin. There are 47 other deaths. In the last 24 hours, 22,806 swabs were performed, with a case incidence of 11.32%. The total number of cases in the region since the beginning of the epidemic amounts to 219,506, while the death toll is 5,481.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – According to the bulletin published today, there are 1,594 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna. Since yesterday there have been another 37 deaths.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 244 new cases of coronavirus in Friuli Venezia Giulia, according to today’s bulletin. There are 14 other deaths, to which is added a death that occurred on 11/28 and subsequently registered. The 244 new infections were detected in 2,763 swabs (equivalent to 8.83%), of which 405 antigenic tests.
TUSCANY – There are 452 new coronavirus infections in Tuscany, according to today’s bulletin. Another 34 deaths were also recorded.
ABRUZZO – There are 64 new cases of coronavirus in Abruzzo according to the data contained in the bulletin published by the region. Since yesterday there have been another 5 deaths.
CAMPANIA – 691 new cases of coronavirus have emerged in the last 24 hours in Campania from the analysis of 9,662 swabs. Of the 691 new positives, 95 are symptomatic and 596 asymptomatic. The total number of Covid-19 cases registered in Campania since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 181,259, 28 new deaths have been admitted by the Crisis Unit.
LAZIO – There are 1,205 new coronavirus infections in Lazio, according to today’s bulletin. There are 42 other deaths. In the last 24 hours, 12 thousand swabs were made (-1.344 compared to yesterday). New positives decreased slightly (-8), while deaths increased (+21). The ratio of positives to swabs is 9%. Cases in the city of Rome remain stable at 500.
PUGLIA – There are 788 new coronavirus infections in Puglia, according to today’s bulletin. There are 31 other deaths.
SICILY – There are 669 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily, according to today’s bulletin. There are 26 other deaths.
