Fonseca currently has two supporting actors in Mirante and in Spanish. Cragno, Gollini and Silvestri like them too, but only at the end of the season
The ambition at one point is for Fonseca to have two number one at his disposal. The feeling now is that, instead, Roma has two excellent supporting actors in López and Mirante, in the current conditions of form. The first from Parma and Bologna went badly from the away game in Bergamo, as did Naples; The Asturian did not convince against Torino and, in general, since the closure of March it seems to be the pale copy of the goalkeeper bought by Betis Sevilla.

It is no coincidence that, at the beginning of the season, there were overtaking between the two, since Mirante seemed to offer those extra guarantees that now seem to have evaporated, also thanks to the physical problems that afflict the 37-year-old goalkeeper, who is in the process of renovation until until 2022. His condition, however, is second, not owner. Thus, if the management manages to sell López in January, a new arrival could be considered. Is not easy. Already in summer the goalkeeper’s departure was hampered by the high budget valuation (22.5 million, after a total of almost 30), so now only a loan could be considered.

But, with what objectives at the entrance? At the end of the season, Gollini, Silvestri and Cragno are in the crosshairs, but in the current season it is not easy to find a used safe. If the break with Torino were irreversible, however, one could think about the Sirigu hypothesis, already sought in the last market sessions. A change of scenery could be useful for the defender, who is chasing the Euro Cup, while Roma could benefit from the revolution. Easy hypothesis? Not really, but the market is the realm of the possible. Otherwise it will be up to López and Mirante to drive away criticism and fly again.
