Let’s see in which cases we will have to carry the self-certification and what are the rules regarding the form, both in the red zone and in the orange zone.

Self-certification, red zone rules (December 24-27; December 31; January 1-3; January 5-6, 2021)
In the red zone, self-certification should always be with you. And inside the form we will have to write:
– name and surname;
– place and date of birth;
– Residential address;
– residence address;
– identification document (identity card, driving license …);
– Cell phone number;
– address of the start of the move;
– arrival address;
– reasons for the move (proven work needs; health reasons; other urgent reasons to be specified). These “other reasons” include: shopping, physical activities (to be done close to home and individually), religious celebrations (for those who want to go to mass, the CEI recommended that the church to be reached “must be reasonably identified among the closest) and travel (this is the novelty of the latest Conte decree) to visit family and friends.

In the latter case, we do not have to specify the name of the people we are addressing, although the destination address of the move must be written in the document. Self-certification, the rules of the orange zone (December 28, 29, 30, 2020 and January 4, 2021)
In the “orange” days, self-certification is used to leave the municipality itself. And this is possible for the usual reasons: proven job needs, health, and emergencies. It will also be used (a novelty in the Conte decree) to move from municipalities with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants but without exceeding the distance of 30 kilometers and without being able to reach the provincial capitals.
This is what we should write in the self-certification on the “orange” days:

Keep in mind– You must carry self-certification with you even during curfew (extended throughout the entire holiday period) and therefore from 22:00 to 17:00, and on New Years Day from 22:00 to 07:00 .
