From December 24 the red zone, what can be done
The national red zone runs from December 24 to January 6 on holidays and prior to holidays: December 24, 25, 26, 27, 31, January 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. You leave home only for reasons of work, necessity and health. We can receive up to 2 people who are not living together from 5 to 22. The idea of allowing the movement of two people at the same time was taken “to allow that minimum of sociability that is adequate for this period”. Religious services are possible until 10 pm.
Travel between municipalities of up to 5,000 inhabitants up to 30 km will be allowed, but not in the provincial capitals. Bars and restaurants are closed, except for take out and home delivery. The stores will be open until 9:00 p.m.
On the other hand, it is allowed to carry out both physical activity, “individually” and “in the vicinity of the house itself provided that the distance of at least one meter is respected and with the obligation to use protective equipment”, as well as the sports practice, but even this only individually and “exclusively in the open air”.
Orange zone: that’s when
The entire national territory will be the orange zone on weekdays, that is, December 28, 29, 30 and January 4. On these days the curfew is still in force from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. It is forbidden to travel outside the region and between municipalities, unless it is demonstrated work or health reasons. Shopping centers, bars, restaurants and non-essential shops closed. Take-away food is allowed (until 10:00 p.m.) and home deliveries (unlimited)
Meetings during the holidays
“During the days between December 24, 2020 and January 6, 2021, it is also possible to move to a single private home, located in the same region, once a day, in a period of time between 05:00: 00 and 22.00, and within the limit of two people, more than those who already live there, in addition to those under 14 years of age over whom they exercise parental authority and disabled or non-self-sufficient people who live together. ”Here are the rules and limits to be observed by those who want to save Christmas dinner and New Year’s Eve: literally the law does not authorize Christmas Eve dinner or Christmas lunch with the family but allows a visit to a family member or friend during the course of these days without leave the region and with the limit of having to return at 22 or after 5 in the morning, to go to a single house during the day (therefore there is no family tour) and not be more than two to go to wish good wishes (but not included in the account for those under 14 years of age and the disabled or non-self-sufficient partners).
