Sardinia, the virus “bites” again: today 311 new cases and another seven deaths on our island. A total of 28,386 Covid-19 positivity cases have been determined in Sardinia since the start of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 311 new cases were detected.
There are also 7 deaths (660 in total), four women and three men between 74 and 93 years old. The victims: three residents from the province of Sassari, three from the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and one from the province of South Sardinia.
A total of 448,843 swabs were performed with an increase of 3,852 tests. On the other hand, 548 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+15 compared to yesterday’s figure), while the number of patients in intensive care is 50 (-2). There are 15,238 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 11,647 (+143) recovered patients, plus another 243 clinically recovered.
In the territory, of the 28,386 positive cases verified in total, 6,268 (+117) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,485 (+65) in the south of Sardinia, 2,233 (+19) in Oristano, 5,708 (+49) ) in Nuoro, 9,692 (+61) in Sassari.
