PADUA – Murder-suicide today at 3 p.m. Trebaseleghe: a father killed his two minor children and then took his own life. The tragedy shortly after 3 pm in the village of via Sant’Ambrogio.
There are currently no further details: it would be an Italian family that has lived in the area for a long time. The young victims are a 13-year-old girl and her 15-year-old brother. The man is of Venetian origin, a 49-year-old native of Scorzè Alessandro Pontin. He killed them by stabbing them while they slept, eventually taking his own life in the same way. The discovery of the bodies late in the morning was made by the killer’s brother, the uncle of the two boys.
Investigations are entrusted to the carabinieri. Initially it seemed that the man had simply kidnapped the two children, Francesca and Pietro, but this afternoon the tragic discovery came.
