CHRISTMAS WILL BRING US COLD AND SNOW: For several days we have been following the evolution of a pulse of cold air from a maritime polar matrix that will set off towards central Europe in the middle of Christmas week. Even if there are still a few days left, the probability that it will arrive in Italy on Christmas Day is quite high. But how could this theft evolve? Usually the maritime polar buds move along the meridians, so that the cold air will find a first obstacle that will be the alpine barrier. Here the bad weather will be expressed mainly beyond the border with snowfalls that will be abundant and down to very low altitudes in Switzerland and Austria.
THE POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES FOR ITALY: due to the alpine barrier, the northern regions would remain downwind and with few phenomena with the sole exception of Emilia Romagna which would be exposed to strong Bora winds that would accompany the entry of the cold front into our territory. Here you can have them snowfall to very low altitudesespecially at night. Snowfall at low altitudes would also be possible in the middle Adriatic and in the inner central areas. In the South the arrival of cold air would be announced with showers and thunderstorms but also with low snowfalls in Molise, Campania, Gargano and then on the 26th also in Basilicata and Calabria. Temperature they would suffer a thermal collapse and the winds would be strong from the north and north. In short, it could be a Christmas with all the decorations, as they say. Other details at the moment we cannot give, cold robberies I’m a bad thing for meteorologists and present risks until a few days after your arrival. Always follow our updates.
