What can be done. Here is the self-certification – Il Tempo

Second residences, mass, visits to family and friends, but no more than 2, trips. If it is clear which days will be in the red zone and which will be in orange in Italy during the Christmas holidays, there is a bit of confusion about what can and cannot be done. Signed by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and published in the Official Gazette, the latest decree brings with it many questions that will probably be clarified with the Palazzo Chigi FAQ.

Of course, in the meantime, there is the possibility of going to mass, during the days of the red zone, with self-certification. The CEI, in fact, has explained that in the latest decree “there are no changes regarding visits to places of worship and celebrations: both are always allowed, in safe conditions and in full compliance with the regulations.” The CEI advises the faithful to bring with them, during the days of the red zone, “a model of self-declaration to expedite any control operation” and “the circular of the Ministry of the Interior of November 7, 2020 specified that the places of worship where you can go to visit or participate in a celebration ‘must be reasonably identified among those closest’ “

Dos and Don’ts: Here’s Self-Certification

The faithful will be able to go, during the days when Italy will be orange, to “any sacred place located in the municipality of residence, domicile or home.” And if the municipality has less than 5,000 inhabitants, it will be possible, within a 30-kilometer radius, to go to the churches of other municipalities, as long as they are not provincial capitals. Therefore, if there seems to be little doubt about how to be present in the masses during the holidays, things are different for other citizens. How does the possibility of moving between municipalities, in the municipality itself, within the region work? And the second homes, will it be possible to reach them? In the period from January 21 to 6, it will always be possible to go to second residences, as long as they are in the same region as the residence. Within the same region it is allowed to move, once a day, two people to another house, not necessarily inhabited by relatives. Children under 14 years of age can be added to the two, without being included in the calculation. But it is valid only within the municipalities, unless there are less than 5,000 inhabitants. The only restriction that seems unaltered and to which no exceptions will be granted is the curfew from 10 pm to 5 am
