Just 24 hours after his restrictive order yesterday, President Maurizio Fugatti announces that “our ordinance is valid until midnight on the 23rd: as of December 24, national regulations are also valid in Trentino.” And so in Trentino there will be a curfew from December 20 to 23 at night. And from the following day, with the advent of the national red zone, it will be possible to return at 10 pm and Fugatti will have to make a new ordinance to “disapprove” of his ordinance yesterday.
It was an intense day in the presidency of the Province. Already in the morning he looked at Veneto, where the governor of the Northern League, Zaia, who had made a local ordinance like Fugatti and before him, had announced that he would withdraw it. Throughout the day, Fugatti stayed in meeting with executives and the working group, looking for the right team to get out of the impasse. And today at 18.18 in a press conference on Facebook he raised the white flag: his ordinance last night will only have 5 days to live.
But then, why did you make an ordinance yesterday a few hours after the arrival of the dpcm government? Fugatti tried to justify himself. He reiterated what he had said yesterday: “Our situation, especially with regard to hospitalizations, remains critical. That is why we were waiting for the government, but since it had not moved for four days, we wanted to intervene because we believe that this weekend will be difficult and decisive. And we couldn’t face it without restrictive rules. “
Fugatti recalled that, therefore, measures were taken mainly in the access to the stores and at the time of returning home. But the result of the situation is clear: yesterday’s ordinance goes to the attic, and paradoxically, going from the “yellow” zone to the “red” zone, Trento will have two hours less curfew.
