What can be done on December 19 and 20?
These are the last two days available to those who wish to move outside the Region. That becomes a day for those who live in the Aosta Valley, Tuscany and Campania, who on Sunday change from the orange band to the yellow one that allows extra-regional trips, from Monday the 21st prohibited in all Italy. Stores open in the yellow regions. the same in bars and restaurants, but until 6 pm.
The “hot” days are coming. How can Italians move on December 21, 22 and 23?
Except for the orange Abruzzo these days, all of Italy is yellow. So you can go shopping, go to a restaurant for lunch, leave the house freely and have a drink at the bar until 6 in the afternoon, but you cannot move outside your region, except for work, health or necessity reasons. Which may also be having to assist a non-self-sufficient relative. Those who were already outside their region or those who have to cross the borders for reasons of necessity can still return there at any time because the return to their home or residence is always allowed. The curfew is still at 10 at night.
Now the squeeze that begins on Christmas Eve: from December 24 to 27, what can we do?
Restaurants, bars and shops closed all day, except food stores, kiosks, tobacconists and pharmacies. You will not even be able to leave the house except for usual work, health, or documented need. So there is no Christmas Eve dinner and no Christmas lunch with the family. However, a visit to a family member or friend will be possible during these days (without leaving the Region). With the limit of having to return at 10 pm, go to only one house during the day (therefore, there is no family tour) and not be more than two to go and wish them well. Children under the age of 14 and the disabled or non-self-sufficient partners are not within the two-person limit. Those who live in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants can also move to another municipality, not to the provincial capital, staying at a distance of 30 km.
From 28 to 30 we return to the “orange zone”: what changes?
These are the days that we will spend in semi-freedom. Always with many limits in travel. For three days, Italy returns all orange, so those who are not satisfied with the purchases can buy again because the stores will reopen. But not stopping at the bar or having lunch at the restaurant because both will be closed all day, as well as ice cream parlors, patisseries, pubs and pizzerias by the slice. You can leave your home freely, but you will not be able to move outside your municipality, unless you reside in those with less than 5,000 inhabitants. In this case it will be possible to cross the borders but not more than 30 kilometers away.
From the 31st, the red zone is re-entered: it is New Year’s Day. What can we do and in common can we go from December 31 to January 3?
As for all holidays and the eve of holidays, in the period between December 24 and January 6, all of Italy is in the red zone again. So again everyone locked in the house, except having to go out for urgent health reasons or to buy food, or go to the tobacconist, the pharmacy or buy the newspaper at the newsstand. New Year’s Eve is spent between family members who live together. Or only if you are single. The exception is for the visit of only two people, if they want to be accompanied by children under 14 years of age or cohabitants with disabilities. But at 10 at night we must go home. Those who have rented houses and farmhouses to spend New Year’s Eve with friends in order not to suffer penalties can go before the 31st and return to their home or residence whenever they wish. The house where to spend the holidays, however, must be within its own municipality.
On day 4 we return to the orange zone: is this what we can do?
Those who have children and have not thought about it will have to hurry to buy the stocking and the Befana gifts: this is the only day when the shops will raise the blinds. Download them immediately the day after which is pre-holiday. Like every day, the orange bars and restaurants are always closed and crossing the municipal border is prohibited.
Will January 5 and 6 be the last days in the red zone for all of Italy?
Yes, the closures of shops, bars and restaurants are back. You can leave the house only for emergencies or go shopping. The rule of two always applies, the limit of people who can go out to visit someone within the Region. However, the two-visitor limit does not apply to children under 14 years of age and disabled partners.
And on January 7?
If the tightening has worked, the shops, bars and restaurants will reopen, you can also move out of the Region, although until 3 p.m. with a curfew at 10 p.m. But above all, the schools will reopen, leaving only a high school student out of four to do distance lessons. .
