Ten days in the red zone and 4 in the orange zone, a curfew remaining at 10pm and a maximum of two non-cohabitating people who can be added to dinner. With the new provision for the Christmas holidays, the government has introduced additional restrictive measures with respect to those that came into force with the decree law of December 2 and the Dpcm of December 3, both in force until January 15. Here are the main changes introduced with the new decree that will remain in effect until January 6.
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR IN RED: There are a total of 10 days in which the red zone will extend to the whole of Italy: December 24-25-26-27 and 31, January 1-2-3-5 and January 6. Therefore, the norms adopted so far in the red regions are applied throughout the country: “any movement in and out” will be prohibited both between regions and between municipalities and within them “except for proven work needs or situations of need or for health reasons “. It is always possible to return to your home or address. Retail commercial activities are also closed – with the exception of food, pharmacies, parapharmacies, newsagents and tobacconists – and bars, restaurants, ice cream parlors, patisseries and pubs, which can only deliver to home and, until 10.00 p.m., to take away. On the other hand, both physical activity is allowed, “individually” and “in the vicinity of the home, provided that the distance of at least one meter is respected and with the obligation to use protective equipment”, such as sports activities, but even this only individually and “exclusively in the open air”.
4 DAYS IN ORANGE: Italy will be all orange on “weekdays” within two weeks of the Christmas holidays: December 28, 29 and 30 and January 4.
Compared to the red zone, there are two main differences: the shops are open and it is always allowed to move within the municipality of residence. However, the decree introduces a rule in favor of small municipalities: in fact, it is allowed to travel from countries with a population of no more than 5,000 inhabitants up to a distance of up to 30 kilometers “with the exclusion in any case of travel to the provincial capitals “.
EXCEPTION FOR 2 NON-COHABITANTS AT DINNER: For the entire period of the Christmas holidays, however, the government has introduced a repeal to the prohibitions, which will therefore be valid both on the days when Italy will be ‘red’ as in those in which it will be ‘orange and is to allow the closest relatives to meet for dinner’ the move to private homes – read the draft decree – is allowed only once a day, in a period of time between 5 and 22 to a single home located in the same region and within the limit of two more people than those who already live there, in addition to those under 14 years of age over whom these people exercise parental authority and disabled or not self-sufficient people who coexist.
SECOND HOMES: Displacement to second homes within the same Region will always be possible throughout the holiday period, that is, from January 24 to 6. This is what Palazzo Chigi sources need about the decree on the new Christmas grip launched by the government and published in the Official Gazette.
