How do you live a Christmas and a red New Year at home? What can and cannot be done at home and what are the recommended behaviors to avoid contagion. On Christmas Day, approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers, there are rules on how to spend the holidays in the year of the pandemic.
Masks and spacing in the house.
Cohabitants when they are at home should not maintain interpersonal distance or mask between them. Couples who are not married but cohabit can benefit from a self-certification on their condition.
Avoid infections at home
It is important to remove your shoes once you enter the house, wash your hands, hang your coats on a hanger. Guests must also follow these rules. It is good to open the windows to change the air frequently and disinfect, and not just clean, the bathroom: the virus is killed in a minute with ethyl alcohol and bleaching products.
Not to kisses and hugs but singing is not recommended
Kisses and hugs are not recommended. But not only. It is now established that even singing and screaming increases the risk of contagion from Covid. This especially indoors.
Separated parents
Separated parents can visit their children as already provided in the previous Dpcm. Movements to reach minors with the other parent or in any case with the adoptive parent, or to take them with you, are always allowed. Even if it is about reaching, respecting a whole series of rules, to non-EU countries.
Grandparents or uncles at Christmas dinner
You can invite grandparents or uncles to Christmas dinner but there only have to be two. It is possible to cross the thresholds of different municipalities, but always within the same region. Children under the age of 14 and disabled or non-self-sufficient people living together are not included in the count. Mask and spacer are always recommended.
Go to lunch with relatives
The rule of moving up to two people is always valid. Thus, a family made up of a father, a mother and two children under 14 years of age will be able to go to lunch with their relatives on Red Days, but if one or more children is a minor, but over 14, it will not be possible.
No to family tours
It is not possible to have lunch at the grandparents’ house and then go to greet uncles or other relatives for coffee or dinner. During holidays and the eve of holidays between December 24, 2020 and January 6, 2021, transfer to private homes, in the same region, is allowed only once a day within a period of time between 5 and 22 hours. then curfew at 10pm.
Lunch or dinner with friends and couples who do not live together
There are no references to the type of bond that unites two people who can be invited to lunch or dinner together who are not related but “stable affections”: boyfriends or friends. The two-person rule always applies.
Can the police call home?
There can be no police controls in the house, they are only activated if there is a suspicion that a crime is being committed in a house, to verify that the rules established in the Christmas Decree are respected. However, movements will be controlled in a capillary way and it will be necessary to self-certify the reason for leaving home.
