It is official, in the closure of Lombardy for Christmas and New Year: the new rules

[ad_1]

The decree with which the government establishes the anti-Coronavirus rules and restrictions for the Christmas and New Year holidays period has been signed. As anticipated, from December 21 to January 6, extraordinary restrictions will be imposed throughout the national territory to try to contain the Covid outbreaks. The rules also apply to Lombardy, even if the region has been in the yellow zone for a week, travel will be limited.

Restrictions for Christmas and New Years

The new decree provides limitations on movements and closures of commercial and restaurant activities, with differences on different days. The toughest restrictions refer to the days that go from December 24 to 27 and those that go from January 31 to 3, in addition to 5 and 6, excluding December 28, 29, 30 and January 4, in which the orange zone will be applied .

The red zone rules

Within the red zone any movement is prohibited, even within the Municipality itself. The only exceptions are proven work needs, situations of need (such as the purchase of primary goods, food or medicine) or health reasons. For no other reason is it possible to leave the house and, in any case, you must always be willing to justify the move with self-certification. The return to one’s residence or home will always be allowed. Up to a maximum of two non-cohabitants, children under 14 years of age excluded from the count, can stay in the house. During the days of the red zone, bars, restaurants, pubs and patisseries will remain closed and can continue with take-out orders and home deliveries. Physical activity can be done close to home.

Exceptions to the red zone rules.

To make the most of the holiday season, the government has granted some waivers. It will also be allowed to invite friends to your own home, provided that the movements are not interregional. Everyone, however, must keep their distance and wear the mask. The authorities, however, will not be able to carry out controls inside the houses, while for controls in the territory it will be essential to show self-certification.

The rules of the orange zone

From Monday to Friday in late December and early January there will be an orange zone regime. The rules will be lighter: you will be able to leave the house freely without leaving your municipality. Stores may reopen, but catering companies such as bars and restaurants will not. No exceptions to curfew, as in the red zone, while public transport will have a capacity of 50 percent. Cinemas, theaters, museums and exhibitions will also be closed in the orange zone. Physical activity can be done within the municipality itself.
