Rome, December 18, 2020 – The new decree to address the pandemic of COVID-19 a Christmas me New Year has arrived. On working days between holidays (December 28,29,30 me January 4th) all Italy will be in orange zone. Between prohibitions me rules (Among the hypothesized novelties is also the curfew anticipated from 22 to 20 in the orange zone), let’s see with this guide what can or cannot be done in those days.
Can I leave the house, the municipality, the Shire? (And for what reasons?)
Within the orange zone you can move only and exclusively (therefore, it is prohibited to travel between different municipalities and regions) within your municipality of residence, domicile or home for the following reasons: work, health or other “proven needs”.
The only exception: traveling between small municipalities: you can move from those under 5,000 inhabitants, but at a maximum distance of 30 kilometers and in any case not go to the provincial capitals. It will not be like this in Campania: Vincenzo De Luca has announced a restrictive order to prohibit any movement.
Do I have to bring the self-certification with me when I move?
Yes, the self-certification should always be with you (if you don’t have it, the authorities will give you the form at the time of verification).
Can I practice sports or physical activity outdoors?
You can do physical activity, but only within your municipality. In the orange areas, gyms and swimming pools are closed.
Can I go have a coffee at the bar?
In the orange areas you can go to the bar, but the drink cannot be made inside the restaurant. So if I want a coffee, I can go get it, but they’ll serve it in the to-go cup and I’ll have to have it outside the club.
Are the stores open?
Retail stores are open, while shopping centers are closed on holidays and before the holidays.
Are the restaurants open?
As with bars, restaurants will not be able to carry out the usual “catering activities”. So you can only buy take away food, but remember that consumption cannot be done in the vicinity of the restaurant. Take away food is allowed until 10 pm.
Is there still a curfew?
Yes, for the moment it is forbidden to circulate from 10 at night to 5 in the morning, except for proven reasons of work, necessity, health. In the orange areas – and therefore on December 28, 29, 30 and January 4 – the government has decided not anticipate curfew from 10pm to 8pm.
Are the museums open?
No, exhibitions, museums, theaters and cinemas are closed.
