After the prevailing anticyclonic stasis that will characterize the days leading up to the Christmas period in south-central Europe, with a mainly stable climate in much of Italy, cold and unstable flows seem determined to lower their latitude pointing to the Mediterranean right coinciding with the first holidays. The anticyclone would thus be progressively replaced by a large area of depression that would take over central and northern Europe, with climate in sharp decline in at least two-thirds of the continent.
This would open the way for a series of disturbed impulses from the Atlantic or North Atlantic destined to flow probably to the latitudes of the Mediterranean. In this way, Italy could also return to its trajectories in the days that They will accompany us at the end of the year and in the first hours of 2021. In this phase, therefore, we could have an often unstable, windy and even cold weather, with new episodes of snow at low altitude. It is evident that it is still too early to go into more details, due to the temporal distance, but if the trend is confirmed, we could expect, at least in some of our regions, sometimes disturbed weather conditions, with snowfall not excluded until the low altitudes. To be up to date.
