TOAST – The number of cured increases significantly, the number of hospitalizations decreases. For days there has been a radical change in the Covid-19 pandemic in Puglia. The second wave has already reached its peak and is gradually returning, although the number of new positive cases, 1,073 those registered in the last 24 hours, is still significant. The registered swabs are 10,729. The pressure on hospitals continues to drop, considering that 1,563 patients are currently hospitalized: 30 fewer than yesterday. The most encouraging indicator, however, is that of healings, 1,264 in one day.
The new cases are distributed as follows: 523 in the province of Bari, 59 in the province of Brindisi, 115 in the province of Bat, 90 in the province of Foggia, 160 in the province of Lecce, 135 in the province of Taranto, 2 residents outside the region. 11 cases from unknown province have been attributed and reclassified.
The only data that still does not improve, unfortunately, is that of deaths. In fact, 43 patients have died in the last 24 hours: 12 in the province of Bari, 9 in the province of Bat, 1 in the province of Brindisi, 14 in the province of Foggia, 3 in the province of Lecce, 4 in the province of Taranto.

Since the beginning of the emergency, 931,577 tests have been performed: 22,396 patients have been recovered; 52,616 are currently positive cases. The total number of positive Covid cases in Apulia is 77,112, divided as follows: 29,624 in the province of Bari; 8,981 in the province of Bat; 5,689 in the province of Brindisi; 17,042 in the province of Foggia; 6,115 in the province of Lecce; 9,144 in the province of Taranto; 457 attributed to residents outside the region; 60 province of unknown residence.
The Asl Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
Inpatient update
Fourteen patients from internal medicine and 14 from pulmonology are admitted to the Ostuni hospital. Al Perrino, on the other hand, there are 18 patients in infectious diseases, 18 in pulmonology, 13 in internal medicine, 8 in resuscitation. Yesterday a death: a 90-year-old woman in Pneumology in Perrino. The Covid posts house 11 patients in Mesagne, 8 in Ceglie Messapica, 10 in Cisternino.
