the victims disappeared when the son left the cell

A ghoulish new find on the outskirts of Florence: A fourth suitcase has appeared with the remains of dissected corpses. He was found in the same strip of wasteland where the other three were dumped: on the Florence-Pisa-Livorno highway, entering the Tuscan capital, in front of the Sollicciano prison. And the son of the victims, who almost certainly are, was imprisoned in the Florentine prison. Salvation of Teuta Pasho, 54 and 52, both disappeared on November 2, 2015. On the same day, his son Taulent, now 33, charged with drug possession and trafficking, was released from prison to be placed under house arrest. It escaped from there in 2016 and has not been traced since.

Suitcase with human remains in Sollicciano: they identify the couple murdered and torn to pieces for revenge five years ago

THE FOOTPRINT
At the moment, only the corpse of the 54-year-old man has been identified, thanks to a tattoo with a drawn anchor, the words “Walloon”, the Albanian city where the couple comes from, and the first letters of the name Shpetimi. And, above all, thanks to a fingerprint that was in the database of the police forces for the residence permit application. In the suitcase found yesterday were the man’s legs, the last missing piece to proceed with the reassembly of the bodies. Shpetimi Pasho was reportedly killed with a stab wound to the throat. While the woman would be beaten and strangled. The next step to confirm the identifications will be the result of the DNA test carried out on the daughter Dorina, who lives in Castelfiorentino and went to the barracks, under the provincial command of the Florence carabinieri, both to undergo the blood sample for the genetic comparison, as to be heard by the prosecutor Ornella Galeotti and the investigators.
Now the investigations aim to reconstruct the last days of the couple’s life and find the fugitive son. Both spouses had disappeared in November 2015 while in Tuscany to visit some relatives, including their son Taulent. Dorina has lowered the figure of her brother, who has not been found since 2016 and who has not yet served four years in prison. “He’s a small drug dealer,” he said, ruling out that his parents’ murder was linked to revenge, perhaps a drug debt. “If it had been a drug crime,” he added before speaking to the investigators, “they would not have waited for my parents, who came and went from Albania to Tuscany, but they would have killed me or my brother, they all knew us in Castelfiorentino. For two people to be reduced to those conditions, it must have been a great debt. But the criminal also had to be huge in order to accumulate it. And my brother was just a dealer.

THE COINCIDENCE
For investigators, however, the coincidence between the couple’s disappearance and Taulent’s release from prison makes those investigating suspicious. According to the complaint filed by Pasho’s daughter on November 8, 2015, the husband and wife had disappeared six days earlier, on November 2, 2015, the same day they were released. Taulent’s testimony to investigators could shed some light on many details, especially to understand if he had ever been threatened or involved in dangerous circles. Also because the murder, as well as the concealment of the corpses, torn to pieces and packed with duct tape and plastic sheets inside four suitcases, suggests an organized crime warning.
