MASSA-CARRARA – There are 332 more positives than yesterday, out of a total, since the beginning of the epidemic, which is equivalent to 113,121 units. Tuscany ranks 10th in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 3,033 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (the Italian average is 3,074 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 1,370 (33 less than yesterday, less 2.4%), 214 in intensive care (4 more than yesterday, more 1.9%). The total number of people cured is 93,619 (1,502 more than yesterday, plus 1.6%): 413 people clinically cured (37 less than yesterday, minus 8.2%), who remained asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with Infection and 93,206 ( 1,539 more than yesterday, plus 1.7%) declared cured in all aspects, the so-called viral cures, with a negative swab.
3,238 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 1,115 in Florence, 222 in Prato, 252 in Pistoia, 353 in Massa Carrara, 288 in Lucca, 365 in Pisa, 237 in Livorno, 188 in Arezzo, 105 in Siena , 77 in Grosseto, 36 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 86.8 x 100,000 residents versus 107.7 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (181.1 x100,000), Florence (110.2 x100,000) and Pisa (87.1 x100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (34.7 x 100,000).
