CLIMATE TREND, BAD CLIMATE RISK ON CHRISTMAS AND ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS – After a fairly calm meteorological period, characterized by an anticyclone alternating with generally modest rainy passages, things could change more clearly and incisively only in conjunction with Christmas. In fact, even the latest updates see a greater propensity of cold exchanges in northern Europe to sink the blow in the Mediterranean, thanks to an anticyclone of the Azores probably hidden in the Atlantic.
If this hypothesis were to materialize, which today sees an increase in the probability of its realization, we should expect that in conjunction with the Christmas holidays, a decidedly more dynamic, unstable and at times disturbed time. All this accompanied by a general decrease in temperatures with snow not excluded even at quite low altitudes, reinforcing the winds. To date it is clearly too early to go into more detail: the amount and distribution of rainfall will largely depend on the exact path of the sinking disturbed by northern Europe, which to date remains subject to large margins of uncertainty. However, it is worth looking at how in the medium and long term a road is emerging that leads to more turbulent weather conditions similar to the winter season between Christmas and New Years. However, the time gap is still high, there will be major updates in the coming days.
