At first it was discontinuity. In the name of this principle evoked at the beginning of the negotiations to form the Giallorossi coalition, Giuseppe Conte should not have stayed at Palazzo Chigi. In the end, however, the people’s lawyer reviews it and it is decided to create a minimum of caesura with the greenish-yellow past still very fresh, excluding some ministers from M5 who had been noticed too much, see Danilo Toninelli, and keep some of the top exponents of the Democratic Party.
An approach that contributes to current fibrillation. At the base of the requests for a change of pace, for reorganization, for the expansion of the majority, are certainly the many problems of the government: the loss of consensus, Conte’s leadership has become excessive, the too many failures of recent months whose challenges the country must take charge. But there are also those who see in the confusion of the moment, the rainy interviews, the television appearances, the controversies on social media, the human element – too many big names have stayed away from true power for too long. And in the movements that are attended around the chairs of the ministerial dancers there are those who see the steps of the most classic waltz of ambition.
If this is true, the first to dance with the stars again is Maria Elena Boschi, after Matteo Renzi the most prominent living character in Italy, who came out of the shadow of the eclipse in which she had hidden for months. The activity on social networks that comes to life, the interview with the Press, the gossip service on Who, hosted by Lucia Annunziata and, above all, that of Lilli Gruber who ignited social networks: the presenter who has been discovered champion . feminism but every time he crosses paths with Boschi, he throws him into sentimental-personal events. To put her in trouble, he asks her about the photos of Who with her boyfriend without a mask, the former minister responds stung and controversy breaks out on social networks. At the time of María Elena Boschi’s activism, her boyfriend Giulio Berruti also participated, who (rightly) reminded the La7 journalist of the Dpcm rules. From living parts of Italy they despise: Boschi has only gone out to the field to lend a hand to Matteo Renzi who is picking up Conte and his project of parallel technical government.
Certainly, at this stage any aspiration is more than covered. On the contrary: officially everyone denies not only, and until now it would be obvious, that they are willing to claim a seat in the government, but also that they want a reorganization. However, it is a speech that remains on the agenda. After the vote on the reform of the ESM, the five stars appear gathered around Conte and if there is someone in the pentastellata house who is trying to make themselves known now it is in support of the government, such as Davide Crippa, undersecretary of the Ministry of Economic Development, one of the dicasteries given as at risk of currency conduction However, despite the grillini’s renewed support for Conte, Roberto Fico feels the need to curb any ambition by saying that the reorganization is not mentioned.
The truth is that in the Democratic Party the “stimuli” to Conte have become particularly intense and that there are more prominent exponents with potential ambitions. The only truly credible one when he says that he does not seek government posts seems to be Nicola Zingaretti. The group’s leaders in Parliament Andrea Marcucci and Graziano Delrio seem more active in the controversy. And Andrea Orlando also ventured into some controversy.
But on the road to reorganization there are obstacles and there are those who ultimately see it as a kind of chimera. Stefano Ceccanti, a constitutionalist and a member of the Democratic Party, dismisses the question: “In Italy there is no power to recall a minister and it is quite unlikely that someone will spontaneously resign even if requested.” Renzi will eventually get something. But government seats are not on the plate.
