Adriano Faoro, 52, from Arsiè, and Sabrina De Pellegrin, 54, from Belluno, were found dead yesterday afternoon in the building on via San Sebastiano, near Arsiè, owned by the man.
The owner of the building did not answer the phone and the relatives went to look for him there, in the family building that had been remodeled, to understand what happened.
It was the firefighters, who rushed to support the police at the Arsiè station, to verify what had happened with their instruments: the device handed over to the firefighters immediately showed a high concentration of monoxide inside the premises. A treacherous gas that saturated the atmosphere without the two people who were there being able to notice it.
The tragedy could still go back to Saturday, but only in the early afternoon yesterday, when Faoro’s relatives tried to look for him in via San Sebastiano, finding the car parked outside the house that once housed the hairdresser, it was understood that something it had happened.
The 112 alarm led the town carabinieri to the side street outside the town, overlooking the main street near the Mondo bar.
Faoro’s car parked nearby and the locked door with the keys inside made it clear that something was wrong. Carabinieri and firefighters opened the door and searched the interior of the building, finding the two bodies upside down, now lifeless.
The technical control carried out by the firefighters with the supplied equipment made it possible to immediately identify the cause of the tragedy: carbon monoxide, still present in the room.
A dramatic accident due to gas released by combustion, therefore, the protagonist of similar episodes in the recent past.
The tragedy caused by the monoxide in the building on via San Sebastiano, which was a rustic building and was later remodeled to create a shop and premises, has shaken Arsiè.
Adriano Faoro worked as a laborer in Feltre, in the “metallurgy”, the current Hydro Extrusion, and left two children.
Sabrina De Pellegrin, from the Belluno de Sopracroda village, had previously worked in public places in the center of Belluno and left three children.
The first findings of the carabinieri and the verification carried out by the firefighters that confirmed the strong presence of carbon monoxide allowed to clarify immediately the accidental nature of the tragedy. So much so that in the afternoon the judicial authority gave authorization for the bodies to be made available to the relatives. –
