MASSA-CARRARA – Serious accident almost this morning on the La Foce road, between Massa and Carrara. Around 12:30 a.m. a car was moving towards Carrara, when at a certain point, near the old quarry, a wild boar crashed into the street and almost completely took the car away. Understandably terrified, the driver managed to nail and stop the car in time to avoid being hit by the fatally wounded animal.

Moments earlier, in fact, the wild boar had been hit by a bullet during a hunting trip that was taking place in the woods on the road. The driver of the car thus raised the alarm, requesting the intervention of the Golden Cross, which arrived at the scene with two veterinary ambulance teams because in the meantime five dogs, following the prey, had gone out into the street creating no little confusion. to the traffic that passed at that hour.

The road was blocked for about an hour, during which the Croce Oro asked the Massa kennel for help to be able to recover the five animals. It took the kennel staff two trips to get to the facility

The episode certainly opens a reflection on the opportunity to go hunting trips so close to the road. Fortunately, in this case, apart from some annoyances and moments of fear, the consequences were not serious.
