Virus in Sardinia, Black Sunday: 633 new infections and another seven deaths are registered. A total of 26,278 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 633 new cases were detected. It should be noted that the increase in the number of positive cases confirmed includes a readjustment of the data for the province of Nuoro, with respect to the previous period.
There are also 7 deaths (577 in total). A total of 420,640 swabs were performed with an increase of 3,606 tests. On the other hand, 589 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+3 compared to yesterday’s figure), while the number of patients in intensive care is 59 (-2). There are 14,776 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 10,136 (+179) recovered patients, plus another 141 clinically recovered.
In the territory, of a total of 26,278 confirmed positive cases, 5,667 (+65) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,128 (+31) in southern Sardinia, 2,095 (+20) in Oristano, 5,204 (+491) ) in Nuoro, 9,184 (+26) in Sassari.
