New infections in Calabria are on the rise again with approximately 2,700 tampons processed, but hospitalizations and those currently positive continue to decline. Another 5 victims since yesterday, two in Cosenza

COSENZA – Increase in new infections of the coronavirus in Calabria, which return above 200 even if hospitalizations and positives currently continue to decline. The number of victims has also dropped slightly another 5 died in the last 24 hours, two of them in Cosenza. The new positives registered today in Calabria are +235 (yesterday they were 158) compared to a number of tampons increasing compared to yesterday: 2,667 were tried (yesterday they were 2,481) that bring the total of the tests analyzed to 395,770. With today’s increase in our Region, including the victims and the healed, total infections amounted to 19,568. The increase in positives today is mainly linked to an increase in cases in the province of Reggio Calabria which registers +83 new infections (yesterday there were 32). On the other hand, stable in the province of Cosenza with +78 (yesterday it was 77). As has always been the case for a few weeks, the figures are much lower in the other provinces of Calabria: + 31 in Catanzaro, +39 in Crotone and + 5 in Vibo Valentia.
5 other victims. Positive decline and hospitalizations
When analyzing data and figures on contagion in Calabria, including residents and people from outside the region, it continues to fall the number of people currently positive for the virus: 9,349, 67 less than yesterday. Increase of 297 people cured in the last 24 hours which brings the total number of people who have defeated the disease to 9,835. In contrast, the total number of victims increases to 384 with another 5 dead in the last 24 hours: two in Cosenza, two in Reggio Calabria and one in Crotone. The number of ordinary hospitalizations continues to decrease while in intensive care units it increases by one unit. In Calabrian hospitals there are 374 people in total, 352 in infectious disease wards (-13) me 22 in intensive care (+1). Finally the number of people in isolation dropped to 8,975 home, 55 less than yesterday. Of these 200 are people residing in other Regions or foreign States. Since the last survey, 50 people have registered on the Calabria Region portal to communicate their presence in the regional territory.
