From Bologna to Cosenza, crowds in the shopping streets

From Bologna to Rome to Naples and down the Peninsula to Cosenza. Everywhere the same scene. Crowds gathered on the shopping streets, under the Christmas lights, between the open stores, in the race for the Christmas present. As if it were any Saturday, even a Saturday, we have learned from March, it is not and cannot be.

In Rome, in via del Corso, hundreds of people, despite the rules and prohibitions against gatherings, have chosen to go downtown to see the shop windows and buy gifts. Even without tourists, the visual impact is that of a human procession under a very long carpet of lights that creates the effect of a starry sky.

And the same in Naples in via Toledo: an extension of jackets and masks that are alternately worn on the go and go shopping.

The same in Cosenza, in Corso Mazzini, under the rows of golden lights that fill a Christmas in times of coronavirus and the lights of the shops all open and the umbrellas of the clubs with the blinds open until 6 in the afternoon you can hear the children, families, young and old shopping rattle.

And going further north, there is also Bologna with its multitude under the arcades that, in addition to fear and neglect due to prohibitions and risks, also defies the rain.
