The total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic exceeds 64 thousand people and reaches 64,036. In total, 196,439 swabs were made, up from 190,416 the day before. In the last 24 hours, 24,728 people have been discharged or recovered. The number of people admitted to intensive care has dropped from 66 to 3,199. On the other hand, hospitalized patients with symptoms decreased by 562 and currently there are 31,265.
The current positives, the subjects who have Covid at the moment, turn out to be in total 684,848, equal to -5,475 compared to yesterday, -0.8% (yesterday they were -6,204). The decrease in current positives – with the minus sign in front – depends on the number recovered, added to the deaths, being greater in number than in new cases.
For the seventh consecutive day, Italy is below 20 thousand infections. The Rt index fell to 0.82, but according to the ISS the incidence of cases is still high, equal to 193 per 100,000 inhabitants (calculated until December 9). “The incidence is still far, I repeat, far from our ability to quickly track all new cases,” he stressed.
