Today, Saturday, December 12, 2020, there are 1,443 (equivalent to 7.9% of the 18,227 swabs made) more than yesterday the cases of people positive for coronavirus. Among them there are 622 asymptomatic, which is equivalent to 43.1% of the total. Therefore, the cases of people who have so far tested positive for Covid-19 in Piedmont amount to 184,527, divided as follows by provinces: 16,222 Alessandria, 8813 Asti, 6380 Biella, 25,492 Cuneo, 14,326 Novara, 97,616 Turin, 6961 Vercelli, 6119 Verbano-Cusio- Ossola, as well as 983 residents outside the region but in charge of Piedmont health facilities. The remaining 1615 are under development and territorial allocation.
Hospitalizations and tampons: the numbers
Compared to yesterday, the number of hospitalized in intensive care is increasing (304 people in total, 4 more) and the number of hospitalized not in intensive care is decreasing (3,857 people in total, less than 148 compared to yesterday). There are 53,700 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,749,139 (more 18,227 than yesterday) of which 847,912 were negative.
The deaths
There are 59 Covid-19 test positive deaths reported by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit. Of these, 3 occurred today (the cumulative updated data reported daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and were only subsequently determined as Covid deaths). The total, since the beginning of the epidemic, is 7,052 deceased people who tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 1,070 Alessandria, 418 Asti, 302 Biella, 760 Cuneo, 600 Novara, 3,269 Turin, 335 Vercelli, 228 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 70 residents outside the region who died in Piedmont.
Recovered patients
The patients cured are a total of 119,614 (more 3,514 than yesterday) divided as follows by provinces: 9,469 Alessandria, 6,395 Asti, 3,760 Biella, 14,915 Cuneo, 8,573 Novara, 66,924 Turin, 4,541 Vercelli, 3,847 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 583 extraregion and 607 in the definition phase.
