Coronavirus, Tuscany stays orange for another 7 days

Tuscany remains orange for another week, now it’s official. In fact, for the passage in the yellow zone we will probably have to wait another 7 days, with the new color that will take off, except for unforeseen events, from Sunday December 20.

The decision was communicated by the Ministry of Health and will be ratified very soon in an ordinance that will be signed by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, based on the data that today, Friday, December 11, the control room delivered to the same minister.
From Sunday, December 13, the regions of Piedmont, Lombardy, Basilicata and Calabria turn yellow.

As of Sunday, almost all of Italy will be yellow. Only the Aosta Valley, the autonomous province of Bolzano, Campania, Abruzzo (which will be red tomorrow, Saturday) and Tuscany will be orange.
The control room will make a new decision next Friday, December 18: that day in all probability will be established passage in yellow also for Tuscany, which will begin the following Sunday, which is December 20.

Staying in orange, among other things, prevents the reopening of bars and restaurants (in yellow they can reopen until 6 in the afternoon, respecting the spacing rules). It is also prohibited, except for proven reasons of necessity, urgency and work, to travel outside the municipality itself.
A decision that follows the logic followed so far of the 2-week stay in the orange zone before being able to change to yellow, but that will undoubtedly trigger protests from the hospitality associations and more.
